The Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center (AWCC) is a non-profit sanctuary dedicated to preserving Alaska’s wildlife through conservation, education, research, and quality animal care. Animals that cannot be released into the wild are given a permanent home at the center. We have been able to provide care for hundreds of displaced animals because visitors like you have made critical contributions in the form of admission fees, donations, memberships, and purchases at the gift shop. We’re paving the way for an even better visit to AWCC! 🚜🚨

We're wrapping up our paving project on Monday, September 28th. During this work, guests may encounter temporary traffic pattern changes and one-lane traffic management. Some sections of the sanctuary may also be walk-only while paving is underway. Please follow all posted signage and directions from AWCC staff as you make your way around the sanctuary.

AWCC remains OPEN, and we appreciate your patience while we put the finishing touches on this exciting improvement!
