GHI- DIRECT CARE PROVIDER/ Care Giver (South Anchorage)

Golden Hearts, Inc. (GHI) is currently looking for new employees. We are a small, close-knit agency looking to hire people who enjoy being part of a business where everyone is on first name basis and works both independently and cooperatively with other members of the team. The ability to work independently with flexibility, experience with providing care to seniors, disabled adults or children is strongly desired. Qualities and skills, we are looking for include: stability and accuracy when working with medications, stability in demeanor and punctuality, positive, encouraging, caring, and calm in a crisis, ability to complete documents accurately and timely, cooking and cleaning skills, self-starter, and an honest team player. GHI is currently hiring for the position of DIRECT CARE PROVIDERS:

Positions available for 24 hour shifts providing Residential Care.

Requirements for this position:

Must be age 21 or older.

Alaska Driver’s License with own transportation.

DMV Driving Record.

Pass background check (No arrests or indictments).

High school diploma.

CPR and First Aid certifications.

Must act as a peer mentor and role model socially.

Must be skilled in establishing and maintaining appropriate social and physical boundaries.

Must be dependable.

Must have basic meal preparation experience.

Must have basic housekeeping experience.

Must be non-smoking.

Must speak, read, and understand English fluently.

**Position works directly with intellectually and physically disabled individuals both in the community and in their homes**

Golden Hearts Inc. (GHI) an agency providing care to Assisted Living Group Homes for Special Needs Adults, is hiring for a Certified Medical Assistant to assist with the medical care of clients.
Tasks involve but not limited to:

Transport and attend medical appoints.

Follow up with determinations from the appointments.

Follow up with delivery of any and all medications to include refills.

Monitor medication administration/controlled substances and usage in the Group Homes.

Monitoring Residents for health and safety.

Documentation of all appointments, appointment determinations, follow up appointments, medications, and completions of each area.

Participate in all Support Planning for health and safety.

Provide all documentation for Support planning for health and safety.

Communicate and educate Golden Hearts, Inc. Team.

Monitor the Case Managers duties for accuracy and completion.

Requirements:
CMA certification with experience.
Pass Background Unit with State of Alaska.
Provide Drivers License, Auto Insurance.
Provide Drivers Record.
Provide CPR/First Aid.
Provide Neg TB Test Results.
Meet all State of Alaska requirements to include annual Continued Education Requirements.
Completion of High School.
Excellent demeanor with Residents and Team.
