The Fraternal Order of Alaska State Troopers (FOAST) was formed in the late 1960s originally as a way to approach the State Legislature for an improved retirement system, it has since evolved into a valuable fraternal organization that helps connect Alaskan Law Enforcement, its history, and its future with the public, its members, and the Officers and Troopers who have served both in Alaska as wel
l as across the U.S. FOAST membership consists mainly of Alaska State Troopers, both active and retired, and is also open to all current and retired commissioned members of the Department of Public Safety, including the divisions of State Troopers, Fire Prevention, and the Alaska Crime Lab. FOAST associate membership is open to non-commissioned public safety personnel as well as members of other law enforcement agencies, and family of an existing member. Museum only- non-Department of Public safety and general public memberships are still being curated, we hope to have this information available by the end of 2022. Standalone donations to the museum are still accepted and we are able to provide a tax donation receipt.
