The commission was honored to be part of a 10th anniversary commemoration of the devastating earthquake in Japan in which UAA student Monty Dickson was killed. The UAA: University of Alaska Anchorage Montgomery Dickson Center is a testament to one young man's commitment to the Japanese culture, language, and spirit of international diplomacy.

Consider crafting a video to showcase the ongoing friendships between Japan and Alaska! The cities of Chitose and Anchorage will mark 52 years of sisterhood in 2021. Consular Office of Japan in Anchorage

The Consular Office of Japan in Anchorage is conducting the ‘Sister Cities Friendship Video Campaign’, in order to energize and deepen the relationships between Japan-Alaska sister cities, and is now accepting video submissions on the topic of friendly exchange between Japan and Alaska.
