Been a bit since I've written here. The window associates are still top notch in the city. Still has a great group of carriers delivering the mail. Building appears to be holding up. It is still a great place to do your mailing.

Stopping back in to my old Spenard Station page to mention, stay away from the post office. Too many people, too many chances to catch the coronavirus. If you must go, bring your own stylus, pen, and wear gloves, maybe even a mask. The poor clerks who are going to be made to work through all this, I feel really bad for. The Manager in charge of the state doesn't really care, HR manager doesn't really care. They just don't care. Customer Service positions are the one's most at risk right now nationwide, yet the post office will be the last to initiate anything to help protect its workforce. Good Luck all. Postal Service employees; take care of yourself. You deserve better than what upper management if doing.

Well I changed the cover photo of the Spenard PO, because I retired. Time for another to come in and take over. Chances are that will not happen. The only thing the top brass care about at any station is the delivery operation. I put a lot of time & effort into this Station, "which I still visit frequently" today as a matter of fact. I do hope that whoever ends up with the station manager position continues our First Class service I promoted at every opportunity. Take care all...….Fishing season is right around the corner.

Calculate out what you are going to use for the next few years, and buy at the lower price point. As folks say, " a few pennies here, a few pennies there, it all adds up" On to the pictures

So for my fine residential customers that have been wonderful customers at the Spenard post office, I have a suggestion; you already know Spenard has the best selection of stamps in the city, probably in the state. Actually, no doubt in the state.So as I see it, SAVE that 5% increase and BUY BUY BUY now.
We have bunches of different stamps to make anyone happy. Remember, these are FOREVER stamps. So you can use them today or in the year 2525. Remember that song? Next Post Tells you what we have in stock....................................

Well, January 27, 2019, the day the "Rates Went Up Again" in the post office. I've been around long enough in the company to know, Rates will for sure go up. What percent on stamps and shipping products, Who Knows. Once it gets behind closed doors, anything can happen. One increase I'm not a fan of is the nickle (5 cent) increase on a First Class Forever stamp. So with that in mind............next Post

The mail carriers food drive officially kicks off today. You will be receiving a post card in your mail today. My station has a collection point inside the station should you like to bring in some food items. The official collection day is Saturday, however bring in food any day this week if you would like. Thank you for your participation.
