**BURN RESTRICTION NOTICE – TNC LANDS**

Effective immediately, **all TNC lands within the Mat-Su Borough and Kenai Peninsula Borough are under a burn restriction** due to current fire danger conditions and the suspension of burn permits by the Alaska Division of Forestry & Fire Protection.

**The following activities are prohibited on TNC lands until further notice:**
• Burning debris piles
• Burn barrels
• Lawn burning
• Any other open burning requiring a state burn permit

**Cooking and warming fires may still be allowed where otherwise permitted, but extreme caution is required.** Users are responsible for ensuring fires are attended at all times and completely extinguished before leaving the area.

These restrictions are being implemented due to hot, dry conditions, elevated fire danger, and increased wildfire activity across Southcentral Alaska. The restriction will remain in effect until state fire officials lift the current burn permit suspension.
