💰 MORE ON THE GREEDY WOMEN IN BETHEL… 💰

🩸 Deleting a post doesn’t make the questions go away.

They removed their post after we responded. 🤔 Apparently, hitting DELETE is easier than answering simple questions.

I’m sharing the original VFW post and my response that was removed. 📸 Deleting it doesn’t erase the issues.

If this is truly “fabricated,” it should be easy to clear up:

Word is thier charter is suspended!

❓ Has the Anchorage VFW Office Department office taken control of the Auxiliary’s financial records?
❓ Have any accounts been frozen or restricted?

A simple YES or NO with documentation would settle it. 📄✅

Calling questions “disgraceful” isn’t proof. 🚫 And deleting them isn’t an answer.
If there are “proper channels,” then provide them—with real contact information. 📞📧

Facts, transparency, and accountability matter. 🔎📑

🗑️ Deleting posts only raises more questions—especially when money and trust are involved. 💰👀

We hear rumors the Lions Club runs a similar model…💰and the good people leave not wanting to witness the money being embezzled.

It’s a sad reflection of what Bethel, Alaska, has become when people are willing to screw one another over for a bag of berries. Stealing, lying, falsifying documents to get free things, and taking advantage of programs meant to help people—it all goes together.

This isn’t about one Facebook transaction. It’s a much bigger deterioration of culture, honesty, trust, and personal responsibility in our community. We live in a small place where everyone knows everyone, yet too many people seem willing to take advantage of their own family and neighbors for a quick buck or something they didn’t earn!

That should bother anyone reading this and if not, Be A Better Human!

Wow, Bethel. Stealing a phone from an elderly man with a heart condition? That’s where we’re at now?

Whoever took it knew exactly what they were doing—they even turned it off. It takes a special kind of person to steal something that someone may need to call for help in a medical emergency.

It’s sad to watch this community sink to the point where people can’t even leave a backpack alone without worrying it’ll be stolen. Some people have absolutely no shame, no respect, and no conscience.

Stop scrolling and read this.

This is a child in our community who is reportedly begging for food and going into people’s vehicles. That isn’t normal, and it isn’t something we should ignore.

If you see this child and believe they may be in danger or without proper care, don’t just shake your head and drive away. Call the Bethel Police Department or the Alaska State Troopers so someone can check on their welfare. A child cannot advocate for themselves—they need adults to step in.

Ignoring this only gives this child less of a chance. If what’s happening is true, intervention isn’t about punishing anyone—it’s about protecting a child who deserves to be safe, fed, and cared for.

Our community has a responsibility to act when a child needs help.

While you were busy this summer, here’s what the courts, troopers, police, OCS, first responders, and hospital were dealing with in Bethel. This is just a sample …there’s more.

These are criminal cases from the Alaska Court System. The records include assaults, domestic violence, DUIs, reckless endangerment, violations of release conditions, disorderly conduct, trespassing, property crimes, and cases involving children.

Not every case results in a conviction, and some are dismissed for legal reasons, but together they reflect the kinds of incidents affecting our community every day.

These are public records.

If you’re scrolling this and ready to be sarcastic- Wake up and go to work! Get off your phone and start contributing to supporting your family!

It’s been interesting watching the comments on this topic. So many of the sarcastic, smart-aleck responses seem to come from people who want to mock the conversation instead of addressing the real issue.

Meanwhile, many of the people expressing concern are women who are out there working every day and seeing the abuse firsthand. They see the fraud, they see the impact on families who genuinely need assistance, and they’re tired of pretending it isn’t happening.

Instead of ridiculing the discussion, maybe we should be asking why some parents aren’t being held accountable for supporting the children they helped bring into this world. Taxpayers end up carrying that burden while benefit fraud hurts the very people these programs were created to help.

If you’ve got time to make smart-ass comments defending or dismissing abuse of the system, maybe put that energy into supporting accountability instead. We should expect people to follow the law, support their children, and protect public assistance for those who truly need it.

Bethel! We need to stop acting like this is normal.

Yesterday, while I was in the AC store, I watched a mother complete a grocery transaction. She then walked outside carrying a large amount of groceries and handed them to a cab driver, who handed her a couple of bags in return. I don’t know exactly what the exchange was, but it certainly raised questions. Another person was with me and they said this happens all the time.

What troubled me most was watching this happen in front of her teenage children. Whether anything illegal occurred or not, the message they’re receiving is that cutting corners is acceptable instead of working hard and earning an honest living.

Our culture is being destroyed when people take advantage of vulnerable people and abuse public assistance meant for families who truly need it. It’s even more heartbreaking when children are caught in the middle. I’ve seen kids in this family asking others for food because they’re hungry, and no child should have to experience that.

If you suspect fraud or abuse, don’t look the other way. Report it through the proper channels and let investigators determine the facts. If we continue to tolerate this behavior, we’re teaching the next generation that exploiting the system is acceptable—and that’s not the legacy we should leave.
