☀️🏊 Make Water Safety Part of Your Summer Plans

Nothing says summer like time spent at the pool, lake, or beach—but water safety should always come first.

Whether you're swimming, boating, or simply relaxing by the water, a few simple precautions can help keep everyone safe:

💙 Never leave children unattended near water—even for a moment.
👀 Designate a responsible "Water Watcher" whose only job is supervising swimmers.
🛟 Wear a properly fitted U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jacket when appropriate, especially for inexperienced swimmers and while boating.
📱 Keep phones and other distractions to a minimum when supervising children.
🏊 Learn CPR, and encourage every member of your family to become a confident swimmer.
🚑 Keep rescue equipment and a phone nearby in case of an emergency.

Water emergencies can happen quickly and quietly. Staying alert and prepared can make all the difference.

The Priority Ambulance family of companies is proud to recognize Craig Davis, Training Administrator, for being awarded a 2026 EMS World Expo Scholarship from Ninth Brain after being selected through a nationwide EMS Week contest.

This scholarship recognizes EMS professionals who demonstrate a commitment to advancing their knowledge and strengthening the profession. Craig will attend EMS World Expo 2026 in Orlando, where he'll have the opportunity to learn from industry leaders and bring valuable insights back to the teams and communities we serve.

Craig began his public safety career as a volunteer firefighter in the 1990s and earned his paramedic certification in 2005. Since joining Medshore Ambulance, a member of the Priority Ambulance family of companies, in 2016, he has served as a Field Training Officer, Shift Supervisor, Operations Manager, and now leads training initiatives for both Medshore Ambulance and Guardian Ambulance across eastern South Carolina.

A proud U.S. Navy veteran, Craig holds a bachelor's degree in Emergency and Disaster Management from American Public University and is currently pursuing his master's degree. His leadership, experience, and passion for education have strengthened EMS operations, developed future EMS professionals, and made a lasting impact throughout South Carolina.

Medshore Ambulance, a member of the Priority Ambulance family of companies, recently partnered with United Way for a meaningful day of service, as our EMT students volunteered to help pack lunches for children experiencing food insecurity in the communities we serve.

We are incredibly proud of our EMT students for demonstrating compassion, teamwork, and a commitment to making a positive impact.

A special thank you to United Way for the opportunity to support such an important mission and help ensure local children have access to nutritious meals.

The Fourth of July is a time for family, friends, and fireworks, but it's also one of the busiest weekends of the year for first responders.

As you celebrate, remember a few simple safety tips:
🎆 Leave fireworks to the professionals whenever possible.
🧨 Keep children and pets a safe distance away from fireworks.
💧 Have a bucket of water or a hose nearby in case of fire.
🔥 Never relight a firework that doesn't go off.
🥩 Stay alert while grilling and never leave a grill unattended.
☀️ Stay hydrated and watch for signs of heat-related illness.
