If you have purchased a house this year and did not file your homestead or other eligible deductions at closing, please be sure to file them by December 31, 2023 in order for them to be in place for the billing for 2024. If you have purchased a home or refinanced this year, please make sure you update your mortgage deduction and file your homestead if you didn’t file it at closing. The deadline is 12/31/2021. We are happy to help you with this.

Effective today March 20th, 2020, due to the current health concerns we encourage you to visit our website for all questions. www.madisoncounty.in.gov and then visit the Auditor’s tab.

If you have questions regarding property deductions, you have until December 31, 2020, to file those. Forms for property deductions can be found on our website and emailed to us for processing. It is to late to file deductions for billing that is due in May and November.

If you are a Veteran and need your excise slip please call us and we will mail that to you.
