Sarah Elizabeth Martin left her earthly body on February 3, 2023. Sarah embodied an amazing spirit and belief that she knew when the time came, she would be dancing with her Savior. In that, we can have peace. Sarah possessed a spirit like no other. If you ever spent any time at all around Sarah you knew that she loved Jesus, loved her family, and loved life. She was a fighter to the very end. We can rest peacefully knowing that she is whole again and the disease that took her from this life is gone. But, we are still left to mourn the loss of her in our lives. This loss will be especially difficult for her incredible husband, Travis, and their three precious children Chloe, Kai, and Keely.
This page is being created to not only honor Sarah, but to raise money that will be able to bless Travis, Chloe, Kai, and Keely as they grow up. We have all heard “it takes a village” but do we realize the truth to that statement? Let’s all be that village for Travis and the children!
Over the years, there will be doctor bills, little league fees, school trips, prom’s, college, and weddings. The purpose of the money that is donated will be to help Travis along the way and at the same time, be a reminder of the type of person Sarah was which is a giver…always thinking of others and helping any way she could.
The goal of Sarah’s Village is to be ongoing to let everyone know how Travis, Chloe, Kai, and Keely are doing and seeing the kids grow up. Although we are seeking donations now, we would like to encourage those who feel led to come back periodically and donate to be able to provide assistance to Travis, for the children, throughout their growing years.
We will have two ways to give. A GoFundMe account has been set up and you can give through that. The money will be withdrawn and placed in an account, set up through Edward Jones, and overseen by trusted “village members”. Or, you can send a check directly to Edward Jones or me (Greg Couch) and if you want to do that you can message this page for the address. If you are writing a check be sure to make it out to Edward Jones and put “Sarah’s Village” in the memo section.
We want to thank you in advance for your support whether it be with your prayers, food, visits, cards, flowers, or a financial gift. They are all so important at a time such as this. Please feel free to share photos and/or memories of Sarah, Travis, Chloe, Kai, and Keely as they will be etched here for the family to see over the years to come.
