As Mental Health Awareness Month comes to a close, we want to remind our community of something incredibly important:
Mental health matters. 💚
At East Central Indiana CASA, we see firsthand how trauma, abuse, neglect, instability, and loss can impact a child’s emotional well-being long after the crisis itself has passed.
Healing is not always visible.
Progress is not always linear.
And sometimes the most powerful thing a child can have is one safe, consistent adult who continues to show up.
To the foster families, parents, caregivers, teachers, therapists, caseworkers, advocates, and community members helping children carry heavy things… thank you.
Thank you for listening.
Thank you for encouraging.
Thank you for advocating.
Thank you for loving children through difficult seasons.
Mental Health Awareness Month may be ending, but the need for compassion, support, connection, and understanding continues every single day.
Together, we can help children feel safe, valued, heard, and hopeful again. 💚
