I just posted this great scholarship opportunity on the Scholarship Google Classroom (s6tvppr) - the Poland Family Scholarship.
The Poland Family Scholarship was established to honor James and Mary Poland and their commitment to providing aspiring children the opportunity to further their education and achieve their full potential.
This scholarship is $1,000 to assist with costs of college, technical training, or industry certification courses.

This night is mandatory for all incoming freshman to attend. Please make arrangements to be there and you will hear from our building administration, athletic director, resource officers, and school counselors about information pertaining to your 4 years at the high school. After the seminar is over, you will be able to walk the halls of the high school. Various teachers will be there and some of the elective teachers will also be there so you can discuss opportunities and ask questions. Teachers will also be available for current students for Parent/Teacher Conferences. Food will be provided!
Attention 10th graders interested in Cosmetology at CCTEC....
Tours for the CCTEC cosmetology program will take place next Wednesday, February 16th for interested sophomores who would like to pursue a career in cosmetology and attend CCTEC as part of their program. If this is you please come by the counseling office to sign up and get additional information.

Reps were planning to come to the high school today to speak with interested juniors about an opportunity this summer known as Missouri Boys and Girls State. This program is set to take place from June 11-June 18 at the campus of Lindenwood University in St. Charles Missouri. At this camp students will learn about the inner workings of various levels of government and participate in hands-on governmental processes. Students who attend will earn 3 college credit hours for Political Science transferable to any college in Missouri. Students who attend will also be made eligible for various scholarship opportunities through the program. This is a great resume builder and an opportunity that you won't want to miss. If you are interested in hearing more about Missouri Boys and Girls State come by the counseling office and sign up. I am attaching links to both Missouri Boys and Missouri Girls State so you can check it out for yourselves.
It is also at no cost to you to attend. If selected, you will be sponsored by our local American Legion Post 392 who will cover the majority of your expenses!
