It’s with heavy hearts that we share news, of the passing of Retired MCSO K-9 Lars. 🐾

Lars helped lay the foundation for the modern K-9 program and set the standard for those who will follow. Throughout the county, Lars directly contributed to the growth, credibility, and success of the unit as it is today! 🏅

Beyond the badge, K-9 Lars was a devoted partner and beloved companion to his handler, Deputy Paul Kollros, a valued member of our brothers and sisters in blue. His legacy and impact will continue to be felt for years to come. 💙

We extend our deepest condolences to Deputy Kollros, his family, and fellow officers. Thank you, K-9 Lars, for your service, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment. 🙏🏽
