Over the past two recognition and swearing-in ceremonies, we have had the privilege of honoring several members of our Communications Division for their outstanding performance, dedication, and service to the citizens of Anderson County.

These recognitions highlight the professionalism, commitment, and lifesaving impact our Telecommunicators have every day. Through calm leadership, effective communication, and adherence to protocol, these employees have helped save lives, supported public safety operations, and demonstrated an unwavering commitment to serving our community.

We were also proud to welcome four new Telecommunicators as they were officially sworn in by Sheriff Chad McBride and began their careers serving the citizens and public safety agencies of Anderson County.

Each year all over the Nation 911 Centers celebrate by decorating their centers with different themes as well as have different themes for each day. This year's theme was Harry Potter for Anderson. Sharing some of the pictures from the center and different days. From the 80's, sports, circus etc. Hope you enjoy.

Thank you Chief Stewart with City of Anderson Police Department for providing supper tonight.

Why I serve:
I’ve stayed in 911 dispatch for 21 and a half years because I found a career that continually motivated me to grow and better myself, both personally and professionally. I’m proud to provide a vital service to those in need and support the true first responders who rely on us every day. Over the years, I’ve also discovered how fulfilling this work can be, and I’ve made it a priority to teach and show others that 911 dispatching is not just a job it’s a meaningful and rewarding career.
Outside of the headset:
Outside of work, I’m someone who enjoys spending quality time with my family and making the most of our time together. I like to unwind by watching movies or getting into a good TV series; especially The Simpsons, which is one of my favorites. I also enjoy heading to downtown Greenville to walk around, explore, and try different restaurants. It’s one of my favorite ways to relax and enjoy the community.
