Originally from Connecticut, Nick recently relocated to the area to be closer to family and is excited to plant roots in our community.

In his role he’ll be leading our fundraising initiatives, building meaningful community partnerships, and securing the vital resources needed to support and empower those we serve.

Nick is a perfect fit for our mission. He is deeply compassionate, dedicated and eager to make a difference—Plus, he's already doing an awesome job holding his own as the only guy on our all-female team! 💪✨

✨ Our First Light family just got a little brighter! ✨

We are absolutely thrilled to welcome some wonderful new faces to our Sexual Trauma Center team! 💙

🎓✨Anna is a recent Anderson University graduate! She brings a passionate and down-to-earth energy to our team. Anna will be putting her skills to work as a dedicated advocate, guiding adult survivors on their journeys toward healing while also providing collaborative support to our child advocacy staff.

📚💡 We heard our school staff loud and clear—Emilee is heading back into the schools to continue our vital work presenting Erin's Law and Gavin's Law. With her fresh, charismatic energy, we know she’s going to do an amazing job educating and protecting our youth!

More Than Just a Pair of Jeans👖

We’re wearing our denim with a purpose—to stand against victim-blaming and to show our unwavering support for survivors of sexual assault.

The message is simple: What someone wears is never an invitation, and it is never an excuse. We wear denim today because a survivor's clothing should never be used against them.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Tracy Bowie, who served as the Executive Director of First Light (formerly Foothills Alliance) from 2011 to 2019.

Tracy was more than just a leader; she was a fierce advocate for survivors and a dedicated mentor to many of us who still carry out this mission today. Her vision and passion helped shape the foundation of our agency, and her legacy lives on in every survivor we serve.

We are forever grateful for her years of service and the kindness she showed to our team and our community. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends during this difficult time. Rest in peace, Tracy.
