My name is Shalimar Scott Franklin and I lived on Lonsvale Dr. from 1977-2014. My mom, Shireen, ran a daycare in our home and we had MANY neighborhood kids playing basketball in our backyard and climbing in our treehouse. My father, Stacy Scott, worked for the school system, and mini Summers. He opened the gym for us to hang out through the summer. Who remembers these days? 😎

Very sad to report that we've lost one of our own today. John Hartman passed away after a battle with ALS. He was a good guy and he will be missed. Prayers go out to the Hartman family.

When I was a kid, on a day like today you would see kids EVERYWHERE in Meadowbrook! Some riding bikes, some playing in the park, some playing baseball at the old Meadowbrook ball park, some playing basketball at one of the MANY basketball goals up all over the neighborhood, or just running around the neighborhood with their friends.
