💙💛 Congratulations to our 2025-2026 Rotarians of the Year! 💛💙

The Rotary Club of Greater Anderson is proud to congratulate Leo Smith and Leslie McIntosh, who were recognized as our Rotarians of the Year!

Leo and Leslie are both past presidents of our club who stepped up once again to serve as Co-Presidents for the 2025–2026 Rotary year. Their leadership, dedication, and commitment to Service Above Self helped guide our club through a meaningful year of service, fellowship, fundraising, and community impact.

This special recognition was presented by our previous Rotarian of the Year, Lois Philyaw.

Thank you, Leo and Leslie, for your willingness to serve, your love for Rotary, and the energy you poured into our club this year. Congratulations on this well-deserved honor!

💙💛 A Strong Start to the Rotary Year! 💛💙

July has been an exciting start to the new Rotary year for the Rotary Club of Greater Anderson!

We are thrilled to share that Catherine Hamby has officially taken the helm as Club President. At our first meeting of the month, Catherine shared her vision and goals for the year ahead, setting an inspiring tone for continued service, fellowship, and impact.

At our second meeting, we enjoyed a wonderful program filled with history, leadership, recognition, and new beginnings, including:

🇺🇸 A presentation by Martha Washington in honor of America250
💙 The induction of new member Laura Lindsley, Executive Director of Calvary Home for Children
🏅 A special recognition from Rita Yarbrough, who presented Leslie McIntosh with a certificate upon joining the Paul Harris Society
🌟 A thoughtful presentation from Emerson Fletcher, President of TL Hanna’s Interact Club, who shared insights about RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards)

We are grateful for the energy, leadership, and fellowship already shaping this Rotary year and look forward to all that is ahead.

Join us on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month at Sullivan’s Metropolitan Grill as we continue serving our community, growing in fellowship, and making a difference together.

Last Thursday, we were excited to host a luncheon for the 15 local charities that received proceeds from the 19th Annual Dancing for Our Heroes. Together, we celebrated the generosity of our community, the dedication of our dancers and supporters, and the meaningful difference these funds will make throughout Anderson County.

What a great day of service at AIM: Accept. Inspire. Minister.

We were proud to partner for a joint service event with our club, the Rotary Club of Anderson, the Interact Clubs of TL Hanna and BHP High Schools, and the Rotaract Club of Anderson University. It was a meaningful reminder that “Service Above Self” is more than a motto. It is neighbors, students, and community leaders showing up together to serve others and strengthen the community we call home.

So grateful for everyone who gave their time and energy today. Anderson is better because of people willing to roll up their sleeves and help.

🇬🇧 Anderson, one week from tonight, all you need is love… and maybe a ticket. 💃🕺

The 19th Annual Dancing for Our Heroes is just ONE WEEK AWAY on Thursday, April 16th, and the Rotary Club of Greater Anderson is ready to bring the British Invasion to one of Anderson’s most attended charity events.

With 15 teams competing, it’s sure to be a magic evening full of fun, energy, and a cause worth celebrating. So don’t look back in anger if you waited too long to grab your seat.

Tickets and tables are on sale now:
🎟 Individual tickets: $100
🍽 Table of 8: $850

Before you tell your friends “you’re my wonderwall,” keep this in mind: individual tickets purchased together are not guaranteed seats together. If you want your whole group at the same table, reserving a table is the best option.

So come together, make your plans, and join us for a night Anderson will be talking about long after the music ends.
