***OUTDATED INFORMATION***

Models have been very consistently showing a band of very heavy snow parallel to I-44 kicking up especially by Tuesday afternoon and evening. I expect the evening commute and additionally Wednesday morning to be severely impacted.

This won't be as wet and slushy as our last "big snow", so it will take time for plows to clear roads. I expect the snow to become impacted into the roads, becoming quite slick. If that doesn't sound messy enough, high winds will blow the snow around which will also reduce visibility.

IMPORTANT: A sharp gradient dropping off in totals to the south will result in very different totals along and south of the MO/AR border. The system will start off as sleet in these locations. Amounts will vary quite a bit.

You still have today and tomorrow to prepare. Drive carefully today as slick spots remain from last night's drizzle and light snow. Be on the lookout for updates on this forecast, as the bullseye region could still wobble north or south. This could be the biggest snow in over a decade, so please take this seriously.
