🚑🏈 FRIDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL IN FRANKTON! 🏈🚒

Ambulance 34 is out and about tonight at the Frankton High School football game, working alongside our friends and fellow first responders from Pipe Creek Fire Department.

While the players are taking care of business on the field and the fans are cheering from the stands, our crews are standing by and ready to provide assistance should an emergency arise. Having emergency personnel on-site helps ensure that players, coaches, students, staff, and everyone attending the game have help close by if it is needed.

Events like tonight are another great example of the cooperation between local fire and EMS departments. Whether it’s responding to an emergency, assisting one another on calls, covering community events, or simply being there when needed, we appreciate the strong working relationship we have with our neighboring departments.

A big thank you to the members of Lafayette Township Volunteer Fire Department and Pipe Creek Fire Department who are giving up part of their Friday evening to help keep everyone safe.

If you see Ambulance 34 and the crews out at the game tonight, be sure to stop by and say hello!

We hope all of the players, coaches, families, students, and fans have a safe and enjoyable night under the Friday night lights.

🚒💧 HYDRANT MAINTENANCE 💧🚒

Today, crews from Lafayette Township Volunteer Fire Department spent some time out in our response area clearing weeds, tall grass, and other vegetation that had grown around several fire hydrants.

Keeping hydrants visible and easily accessible is extremely important. During an emergency, every second matters, and firefighters need to be able to quickly locate and access a hydrant without fighting through overgrown vegetation.

We encourage property owners who have a fire hydrant near their home or property to help us out by keeping the area around it clear of grass, weeds, bushes, landscaping, and other obstructions.

A few minutes of maintenance today can help save valuable time when it matters most.

A big thank you to Keystone Cooperative for hosting an excellent grain bin rescue training and anhydrous safety training! These hands-on training opportunities help our firefighters and emergency responders stay prepared to safely handle some of the most challenging situations we may face.

❤️ A HUGE THANK YOU TO OUR COMMUNITY! ❤️

Lafayette Township Volunteer Fire Department would like to give a special shoutout to Jersey Mike’s Subs of Anderson and Chick-fil-A Anderson for providing food and supporting our crews and The Madison County Highway Department during the recent flooding response.

We would also like to recognize the generosity of additional community members who stepped up to support everyone working:

🍗 An anonymous donor generously purchased KFC for both our Fire Department personnel and the Madison County Highway Department crews.

🍩 Another generous donor brought donuts for crews to enjoy while they continued working.

During long and demanding operations like these, having members of our community make sure our firefighters, first responders, and highway crews are fed and taken care of means more than you know.

To Jersey Mike’s, Chick-fil-A, our KFC donor, our donut donor, and everyone else who has supported the crews throughout this flooding event — THANK YOU!

Your kindness and generosity have not gone unnoticed. We are incredibly grateful to serve a community that continues to step up and take care of those working to take care of others.
