Members of the Lafayette Township Volunteer Fire Department were at the Frankton High School football game tonight.

Tonight was extra special as a Black Hawk helicopter made a landing and delivered the game ball!

It was also Senior Night, recognizing seniors from Football, Band, Cheer, Cross Country, Boys Tennis, Girls Golf, and Trap Shooting!

We want to congratulate all the seniors on their hard work, dedication, and accomplishments.

We are always proud to be part of these special moments and support our Frankton community!

🔥🚒 FIRE PREVENTION WEEK 🚒🔥

This morning, members of Lafayette Township Volunteer Fire Department joined Pipe Creek Fire Department at Frankton Elementary School for fire prevention presentations.

We had a great time teaching students about fire safety and showing them some of our apparatus and equipment!

Thank you to Frankton Elementary for having us and allowing us to spend the morning with your students!

This grant is for the purchase of a new grass truck, updating the equipment to better serve the residents of Lafayette Township and the surrounding areas. Today, members of the Lafayette Township Volunteer Fire Department were proud to join Pipe Creek Fire Department and Frankton Ambulance at the Frankton Heritage Days Festival

Lafayette Township units also had the opportunity to take part in today’s parade, joining our fellow first responders and community members in celebrating everything that makes Frankton a great community.

Events like Heritage Days give us a chance to step away from the emergency calls and spend time with the people we’re proud to serve alongside and support.

A huge thank you to everyone who waved, stopped by to see us, and showed support for your local first responders today! We’re always proud to be part of this community.

🚜🌽 HARVEST SEASON IS HERE, SHARE THE ROAD! 🌽🚜

With harvest season starting across Indiana, it means you’ll be seeing more tractors, combines, and other farm equipment traveling our rural roads.

Lafayette Township Volunteer Fire Department reminds everyone to use extra caution when approaching farm equipment.

🚜 Slow down when you see farm machinery ahead.
⏳ Be patient, most equipment is traveling only a short distance between fields.
↔️ Give them plenty of room. Large equipment may take up more than one lane or need extra space to make turns.
👀 Watch for sudden turns into fields, driveways, and county roads.
🚗 Pass only when it is safe and legal. Never pass on hills, curves, or when you cannot clearly see oncoming traffic.

Our local farmers are working long hours to bring in this year’s harvest. Taking an extra few seconds and showing a little patience can help make sure farmers, motorists, and first responders all make it home safely.
