Last night, The Village experienced something powerful together.

Blood at the Root was more than a play, it sparked reflection, real conversations, and deep emotions for our students. They didn’t just watch, they engaged and grew.

Moments like this remind us, it’s not just about mentoring, it’s about exposure and creating space for growth.

Grateful for our Village.

We need to keep praying for our youth and families. Ma*****na is affecting too many lives, and many do not even realize how deeply it has taken hold. Our youth need support, guidance, and mentors who care.

High Potency cannabis use is linked to significant mental health risks, including anxiety, paranoia, depression, and a doubled risk of psychosis or bipolar disorder, especially in teens. Regular consumption can lead to addiction, adding to the risk of usage.

Let’s work together to reduce the usage of ma*****na in our communities—especially with the youth.

WHY DO MENTORSHIP PROGRAMS MATTER????

INCREASE IN PROSOCIAL BEHAVIOR ⏫️
These are the behaviors that allow young people to experience and engage with community.

DECREASE IN ANTISOCIAL BEHAVIOR ⏬️
Any individual left in a vacuum is forced to contend alone. This can lead to maladaptive social skills like aggression, poor self imagery, and suicidal ideation.

INCREASE IN SCHOOL ATTENDANCE ⏫️
Students present for learning tend to do better in life. They are more successful across the board.

INCREASE IN FAMILY RELATIONSHIP ⏫️
Children who are engaged in mentoring function better within the family unit. There are other positive forces that help parents.

DECREASE IN DRUG USE ⏬️
Proactive care is the best care. Children are less like to use substances when they have a strong VILLAGE
