It’s official
The Well Sweep has a pool!

It’s been a lot of excavating to get this pool up and frankly it looks like an asteroid hit our yard
Now that the pool is up it’s time to focus on the deck and landscaping
Onward and upward………….

Happy New Year!!!

2022 brought us so many good things
Our 1st Grandchild
Ellie…our new dogo
1 of our daughters got engaged
And lots of renovations and tons of hard work
2023 will bring lots more work and renovations as well. But as I look back on the last few years I’ve realized Mark and I haven’t left much for ourselves
This year we will be working on the yard so we have a place to sit, relax and enjoy this beautiful old house. But also to enjoy each other, our family and our friends
So………
Welcome 2023
From our house to yours

Vanessa recently reached out to see if she could use the Well Sweeps barn for her maternity photo shoot
What troopers they were braving the cold

We haven’t said much lately but we’ve been super busy
This year we found out we didn’t have a foundation under the back of the kitchen. At the same time we removed this unused door to help keep us warm this year. We were getting leaves, snow and lots of cold air coming in from this door. It’s been a race against the cold weather
Still lots to do but we are a little warmer because of all Marks hard work
Taking a quick holiday break before starting up again

Saving the Well Sweep

We recently began a house search for our forever home and in the process just fell in love with the idea of owning an antique house

My husband is a Carpenter by trade and I’m a self proclaimed junker, furniture painter, crafter, decorator and lover of all things old. What better way to combine all of our talents than to find and save an antique house.

Meet the Well Sweep: The Well Sweep was built in 1742 on parcel of land sold from Captain Joseph Swetland to his son William. Since 1742 this house has been a few different things including a working farm, tea house, boarding house and family home to a few lucky families

Currently the Well Sweep is in need of lots of repair and love. This beautiful 278 year old home is undoubtedly the largest, scariest and exciting project we have ever taken on. We are so excited and proud to be the new owners of this historic home and are looking forward to calling it our forever home
