Andover Public Schools encourages interaction from Facebook users but is not responsible for comments or wall postings

made by visitors to the page. We welcome your thoughts and comments and look forward to what you have to say. However, the district reserves the right, but assumes no obligation, to remove comments that are racist, sexist, abusive, profane, violent, obscene, spam, contain falsehoods or are wildly off-topic, or that libel, incite, threaten or make ad hominem attacks on USD 385 students, employees, guests or other individuals. Naming specific employees or students in a negative way will not be allowed. The intent of these guidelines is not to keep any negative or critical information from being posted, but to protect the privacy and rights of our students and staff. We also do not permit messages selling products or promoting commercial or other ventures, but we do allow school fundraiser information from the schools that are part of USD 385. Comments are also subject to Facebook’s Terms of Use and Code of Conduct policies. Andover Public Schools asks that people making comments on the page show respect for their fellow users by ensuring the discussion remains civil, especially since Facebook allows individuals 13 and older to join. Remember that your name and photo will be seen next to your comments, visible to all visitors on the page. Facebook and Andover Public Schools encourage all users to utilize the “Report” links when they find abusive content. Facebook does not allow any information from children under the age of 13. If we learn that we have information posted on our page from a child under age 13, we will delete that information as quickly as possible and report that user to Facebook. Congratulations to the 20 recent Andover graduates who received their Kansas Seal of Biliteracy during the school year from the Kansas State Department of Education. The seal recognizes students who have attained proficiency in English and one or more additional world languages by graduation. Eligibility is determined through the scores from two approved assessments.

This is the most Seals of Biliteracy awarded to the district since Andover began participating in the program seven years ago!

Eighth-graders at USD 385 - Andover Middle crossed the street yesterday to read books at Cottonwood Elementary students. These aren't just any books — they're personal essays about something they learned or experienced in middle school, complete with illustrations. The elementary school students enjoyed hearing about life in middle school!
