We canโ€™t wait to welcome back our students tomorrow, September 2nd! ๐ŸŽ

๐ŸšŒ As the school year begins, please expect increased traffic during arrival and dismissal times. We ask everyone in the community to use extra caution when driving near schools, crosswalks, and bus stops to keep our students safe. ๐ŸšŒ

๐Ÿšธ Traffic Advisory for Andover High School, West Middle School, West Elementary, and Shawsheen Preschool families ๐Ÿšธ

Water main work at the intersection of Lowell Street, Shawsheen Road and Beacon Street is ongoing and will continue through the fall. Please plan for anticipated delays and follow the directions of the Andover MA Police Department and on-site flaggers when traveling through the area.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation. We wish all of our students, families, and staff a wonderful first day of school!

Our schools and staff have been busy preparing for an amazing year ahead.

This week, we welcomed our newest educators at New Teacher Orientation, introduced the APS Class of 2030 to their new school community, and continued preparing our buildings and classrooms for students' arrival.

We're also excited about the safety upgrades completed at West & Doherty middle schools this summer, helping create a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment for learning.

We can't wait to welcome back students on September 2 for a year filled with learning, connection, and new opportunities! ๐Ÿ“š๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ

APS Elementary & Preschool School families,
We would like to share an update regarding preschool and elementary classroom teacher assignments.

As noted in our message last week, the town and schools have been experiencing internet connectivity issues that have affected several of our services. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue working to fully restore our systems.

Principals will share instructions with families tomorrow morning, Thursday, August 20, for accessing preschool and elementary classroom teacher assignments. Please note that classroom assignments will not be available until families receive this information directly from their school.

Congratulations to Ann, South Elementaryโ€™s Kitchen Lead, and Brian, HS Pizza Extraordinaire! You will be missed this fall as we begin school year 26/27!

APS Elementary School families, we would like to share an update on elementary classroom teacher assignments, which were anticipated to be released tomorrow, Friday, August 14th. The town and schools have been experiencing internet connectivity issues today, which are affecting several of our services.

Our IT team is actively working to restore service as quickly as possible. As such, elementary classroom teacher assignments will be distributed early next week. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
