The heavy air with smell of smoke, is coming from fires far away from here. The advisory will last for at least a day, but they will notify when it is lifted.
Be sure to take precautions and follow these tips from the U.S. National Weather Service:
- Stay inside if possible, particularly if you have respiratory concerns or other health problems, are a senior or child
- If you must go out, try to limit the amount of time you are out to strictly essential activities
- Minimize your use of items that increase pollution, such as cars, gas powered lawn mowers and other vehicles
- Do not burn debris or other items during an air quality alert

NOTICE: The play ground at the Chestnut St. Recreation Park will be unavailable and roped off beginning Tuesday 06/30/26 for the installation of a new section of equipment. Project should be finished by the end of the week

The water samples passed!! The boil water advisory is lifted!

Update on the water advisory: Please continue to boil your water until 8:00pm tonight when we do our bacteria sample. We will know more information after we get those results.

What a day....this was an ALL HANDS ON DECK job, we found a 12 inch main along Rt 85 had a 8 ft crack along the bottom, the system pressure was lost as this leak went unnoticed due to it being in a field next to a ditch that drained the water away. Crews had to locate valves that fed the line to the east and shut off the flow, the system could not create pressure until this was accomplished. The pipe was exposed, cleaned and a new section was installed. Many thanks to the Village Public Works Crew, Andover Village Police for traffic control on the busy Main Street and to the Andover Township Crew who assisted with the pipe install.

Andover Village Water Department is issuing a boil water advisory for it's customers. The water pressure dropped due to a main water line break on the east side of the village. Residents are advised to boil their tap water before consuming it, for the next 24 hours.
Bring water to a full, rolling boil for at least one minute. Allow the water to cool before using.

NOTICE: Main water line break has been isolated at the eastern side of the village. Water pressure should build slowly as all our pumps are running. BOIL ADVISORY is in effect, please conserve water as the systems recharges. Customers east of Parker Dr. will be out longer as the repairs are made.

Water outage in the village, crews have responded and are currently looking for the cause and will begin repairs.
