HUGE THANK YOU! Once again, our incredible Rum River community has stepped up! In one day, we raised over $1,000 for pediatric brain cancer patients and the need for research to cure this cancer by participating in Caps for the Cure! This money will be donated to The Cure Starts Now Foundation.

No family should have to battle pediatric brain cancer alone. That’s why Rum River Elementary is partnering with The Cure Starts Now for Caps for the Cure on Friday, May 22nd!

The Event: Students can wear a hat for the day in exchange for a $1 donation.

The Impact: 100% of funds go to life-saving research. Since 2007, The Cure Starts Now has funded over $36M in research across 110+ hospitals.

Let’s unleash our generosity and support these amazing kids! 🧢✨

THANK YOU!
Since 2009 Rum River Against Hunger has been our all-school service project. We do fundraisers all year to purchase the ingredients and all students participate.

Friday we packaged 46,440 meals!
These meals were funded with money raised through hat/PJ days, smencils, smens, Green Valley Gift Cards, and various donations from our community organizations and individuals.

Thanks to our Rum River community for your support, our volunteers who provide essential help to make this happen, the RRAH committee and our student leaders! What a great day!!!

Grab your hats for our final RRAH hat day as we join together in the gym for our packing event, Friday, May 15th!

Please help us have a successful food packing event:
~Bring $1 to participate in our last hat day of the year
~A baseball cap can be worn instead of a hairnet, provided longer hair is also pulled back in a tie
~Hairnets will be provided to everyone else
~Wear a RRAH or RRE t-shirt or hat if you have one
