Fire Flow testing will be conducted on Saturday, May 23, 2026, beginning at 8:00 AM at 400 FEDERAL ST. Water may be discolored for a time in the areas of FEDERAL ST, NORTH ST, BROOKSIDE DR, RIVER RD, CHANDLER RD, WEBSTER ST, and SOMERSET DR. To help alleviate the discoloration, please run your cold water faucets and/or outdoor spigot until the water clears.

This week, the Town of Andover proudly recognizes National Public Works Week and the dedicated employees of Andover MA Public Works who help keep our community running every day.

The efforts of Andover DPW impacts nearly every aspect of daily life in Andover. From maintaining roads, sidewalks, parks, and cemeteries to protecting water resources, delivering safe drinking water, managing waste systems, and responding during storms and emergencies, DPW staff provide essential services and infrastructure that the community depends on.

While much of this work is highly visible, much of it takes place behind the scenes. Whether repairing infrastructure, improving public spaces, maintaining vehicles and equipment, or planning for future capital improvements, the work of public works professionals helps ensure that Andover remains a safe and welcoming community.

Please join us in expressing our gratitude for the professionalism and dedication of our Public Works employees during this National Public Works Week and throughout the year.

Today, we present Lucky, 😍 our latest addition to the Dogs of Andover Photo Album. Their guardian has pledged to clean up after them and dispose of their waste properly - you can too by visiting https://Andoverma.gov/Dogs.

🌧️Rainy days mean more than puddles—they mean pollutants like pet waste can wash directly into our streams and waterways, untreated!

Please tidy up after your furry friend and dispose of their waste appropriately. Dog waste bags should not be left in catch basins, at trailheads, or in parks; they belong in the trash—either in public bins or your own. Please carry out your dog's waste when visiting ANY public lands without receptacles. It's not just about courtesy or following Andover’s bylaw (Article XII, Section 11), it's also about protecting local waterways. Let's do our part to keep waterways clean and safe. 💧🌿

Fire Flow testing will be conducted on Saturday, April 18, 2026, beginning at 10:00 A.M. at 470 RIVER RD. Water may be discolored for a time in the areas of RIVER RD, FISKE ST, BAILEY RD, PHEASANT RUN, QUAIL RUN, AVERY LN, STONEYBROOK CI, AND PLEASANT ST.

Fire Flow testing will be conducted on Saturday, April 18, 2026, beginning at 8:00 AM at 140 HAVERHILL ST. Water may be discolored for a time in the areas of HAVERHILL ST, HIGH ST, STIRLING ST, DUFTON RD, and BURNHAM RD.

To help alleviate the discoloration problem, please run your cold-water faucet and/or outdoor spigot until the water clears.

Holiday Delay Reminder:
Due to the Holiday on Monday, April 20th, there will be no collections on Monday, with a one-day delay for the remainder of the week.

Curbside Leaf Collection begins Tuesday, April 21st, and runs for 6 weeks, ending on May 30th. Place leaves and grass clippings in brown paper yard waste bags or open barrels only; do not use plastic bags of any kind. No rocks/stones, branches, or stumps allowed.

Please have all items curbside by 7 am on your pickup day.
