☔🐾 When It Rains, It Drains—Scoop it!
Today we present Sampson, our latest addition to the Dogs of Andover Photo Album.

Sampson is toad-ally prepared for rainy-day walks in his froggy raincoat! 🐸☔ And just like every good amphibian needs clean water, his human has pledged to always scoop the p**p and dispose of it properly.

When pet waste is left behind, rainy weather can quickly turn it into runoff. Stormwater carries pet waste directly to local streams, ponds, and rivers—UNTREATED. 😮💧

Help keep our waterways clean: Scoop it, bag it, and bin it, rain or shine! Dispose of pet waste in a public trash receptacle or bring it home for disposal. Please don't leave bagged waste on the ground, toss it into a storm drain, or place it in someone else's trash bin.

Remember, cleaning up after your pet—and carrying a means to do so—is REQUIRED under Andover's Article XII, Section 11.
Rain or shine, every scoop helps protect our community and the environment. 🌧️🐶

Take the Scoop the P**p Pledge at AndoverMA.gov/Dogs and share your favorite rainy-day (or any day) dog photo! 📸

⚽🐾 Score One for Clean Water!
Meet today's MVP (Most Valuable Pup), Bruno, our latest addition to the Dogs of Andover Photo Album. Whether your four-legged striker is chasing a soccer ball or dribbling through the dog park, don't forget to scoop the p**p as Bruno’s “coach” has pledged to do!

When rain falls or snow melts, waste left on sidewalks, parks, and trails can be carried into storm drains, where it flows UNTREATED into local streams, ponds, and rivers. 😮💧

Fortunately, keeping our waterways clean is an easy win. Just bag it, bin it, and help your pup stay at the top of the standings!
And remember, cleaning up after your pet—and carrying a means of removal—is REQUIRED under Andover's Article XII, Section 11. 🚫💩

Join the team and take the Scoop the P**p Pledge on the Town's website at AndoverMA.gov/Dogs 🐶🏆

🐾 Cast Your Vote for Clean Streets! 🚫💩

Today, we present Skylar ("Sky"), the latest addition to the Dogs of Andover Photo Album! Sky is running on a platform of more walks, more snacks, and more naps. Her chief of staff supports this adorable candidate by pledging to clean up after her and dispose of her waste responsibly.
You can make the pledge too by visiting the Town's website at AndoverMA.gov/Dogs

Picking up after your dog keeps our parks, sidewalks, and neighborhoods clean—but it also helps protect local waterways. When pet waste is left behind, rain and melting snow can wash it into storm drains, where it flows untreated into streams, ponds, and rivers. 😮💧

Plus, cleaning up after your pet—and always carrying a means to remove their waste—is required under Andover's Article XII, Section 11.
A quick scoop makes a big difference for our community and environment. 🌎🐶

This week, the Town of Andover proudly recognizes National Public Works Week and the dedicated employees of Andover MA Public Works who help keep our community running every day.

The efforts of Andover DPW impacts nearly every aspect of daily life in Andover. From maintaining roads, sidewalks, parks, and cemeteries to protecting water resources, delivering safe drinking water, managing waste systems, and responding during storms and emergencies, DPW staff provide essential services and infrastructure that the community depends on.

While much of this work is highly visible, much of it takes place behind the scenes. Whether repairing infrastructure, improving public spaces, maintaining vehicles and equipment, or planning for future capital improvements, the work of public works professionals helps ensure that Andover remains a safe and welcoming community.

Please join us in expressing our gratitude for the professionalism and dedication of our Public Works employees during this National Public Works Week and throughout the year.
