This morning at the request of the NYS Police, we were dispatched along with MTS Ambulance at 02:57 for a single vehicle MVA on CR-2 between the Perch Rd and CR-2A in the Town of West Almond. The vehicle went of the south side of CR-2, and while off the roadway, struck many objects and trees, went airborne over the creek, then end over end before coming to rest back on CR-2. The sole occupant was transported to St. James in Hornell by MTS Ambulance for evaluation.

For those wondering, the planned power outage scheduled for this morning will still take place for the Village of Angelica electric customers, it is just delayed slightly.

***********Planned Power Outage************

All customers provided electric service by the Village of Angelica Electric will be out of power on Thursday, May 28th from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This outage is necessary to remove a large transformer from the substation so it can be transported to an offsite facility for repair. They are planning on having the power restored by 4pm barring any issues. The village office will also be closed that day.

Per Allegany County DPW, CR-2 in the Town of West Almond will be closed to thru traffic between I-86 and the Turnpike Rd. This closure will take effect starting Monday 5/18 and continue for approximately 3 weeks. See the press release below for specifics.

Thankfully no serious injuries. One individual was evaluated at the scene by MTS Ambulance but refused transport. The horse also appeared to be uninjured, just spooked.
