The Allegany County Department of Health would like you to know that the 107 people released from
isolation or quarantine includes some of our positive cases and other sick individuals who have recovered

guidance from the New York State Department of Health confirming that they are well and not contagious
any longer,” said Tyler Shaw, Deputy Public Health Director. “Once released, they are free to go out, but
they should still be practicing social distancing and staying at home as much as possible, like everyone
else,” he said.

As you all may or may not know, Allegany County is up to 9 confirmed cases of COVID-19, and one death so far.

It is very important that you are washing your hands, wearing the proper protection and taking all precautions. As of right now there is still a “ban” for nonessential travel. So if you don’t have to leave stay home for the safety of all healthcare and non-healthcare workers!

If you have any questions about COVID-19, you can go to the Allegany County Health Department website or give them a call.

Stay safe and stay home!
