American Legion Post 436 Angier, NC American Legion Post 436 Angier, NC Angier American Legion Post 436 has been active in the Angier community since 1966.

The Post currently has veteran members representing every conflict the U.S. has been involved in from WWII to present. Funds raised by these veterans are dedicated to community support as well as National American Legion projects:

Local Baseball - The Post has sponsored a coach pitch team in the Angier league, providing coaches, uniforms and instruction. Boy's State - For the last 7 years, the Po

st has sponsored a local High School student to attend N.C. Boy's State where they participated in activities that emphasized citizenship and our government's functioning. Student Trooper - For the last 7 years, the Post has sent a local High School student to the State Highway Patrol program. Students have remarked on the positive impact this program has had on their lived. Veteran activities - The Post has worked in conjunction with the Harnett Co. Veterans Council to provide trips to Memorial sites as well as special functions for veterans and their families. Community support - The post has supported the Angier Chamber of Commerce by participating in job fairs and festivals sponsored by the Chamber. Veteran support - The Post is available for channeling support requests from individual veterans to specifics branches of the Veterans Administration and the National American Legion.
