Good evening Patriot Families,
This is your Principal, Lyndsey Dunn with the updates for the week. Thank you all for being our partners during testing as we had almost 100% of our students here. We were so fortunate to have so many family members willing to proctor, which also ensured that smooth testing sessions occurred. Since reading and math testing has completed for our 3rd-5th graders, here is our communication plan:
On Monday, May 18th, our 3rd and 4th grade families will receive a phone call or a dojo message with their EOG results. Please make sure that your child’s teacher has the most updated phone number.
On Tuesday, May 19th, 5th graders will be taking the Science EOG and select 3rd grade students will be taking the Read to Achieve test, as well as our reading re-testing opportunities. On the afternoon of the 19th, 5th grade families will receive a phone call or a dojo message communicating the reading and math EOG results.
On Wednesday, May 20th, select 4th and 5th graders will be re-testing in reading and 5th grade families will be notified through dojo about science EOG results.
On Thursday, May 21st - Select 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students will be re-testing in math. We are aware that 3rd grade awards will be hosted that afternoon. However all testing should be completed before they begin.
On Friday, May 22nd - Select 5th grade students will be re-testing in Science.
Students are required to have a certain number of hours of remediation before they are given the opportunity to retest. Please help us by having your child at school if this is something you want your child to participate in.
Here at McGees, teaching and learning will occur for all students when we are not testing, using engaging activities.
In other news, the image shared with this message is a reminder of the other End of Year Celebrations, Awards and Graduations. Please reach out to your child’s teacher if you have questions concerning those. Thank you for all that you do to partner with our school and help us all be a village in our students' education. Have a good weekend.
