🔥 Dry conditions mean higher fire danger. Help prevent wildfires and grass fires! 🔥

A single spark can start a fast-moving fire. Please do your part by:

🚭 Properly disposing of cigarettes—never toss them from a vehicle.
⛓️ Using chains and equipment that won't drag or create sparks.
🌾 Dry grass and vegetation to show how quickly fires can spread.

✅ Remember:
• Never throw cigarette butts on the ground or out a vehicle.
• Inspect trailers and equipment to ensure safety chains don't drag.
• Avoid parking hot vehicles on dry grass.
• Report any signs of fire immediately.

🚨 HEAT ADVISORY IN EFFECT 🚨

High heat increases the risk of heat-related illnesses and can also elevate fire dangers in dry conditions.

Here is how you can stay safe and help our community:

Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water throughout the day, even if you don't feel thirsty.

Limit Outdoor Exposure: Stay indoors in air-conditioned spaces during peak afternoon heat. If you must be outside, take frequent breaks in the shade.

Check on Neighbors & Vulnerable Individuals: Look out for elderly neighbors, young children, and anyone living without reliable air conditioning.

Keep Pets Safe: Ensure outdoor animals have shade and fresh, cool water. Never leave children or pets unattended in parked vehicles—not even for a minute!

Prevent Wildfire Hazards: Dry grass combined with extreme heat increases fire risks. Avoid open burning, discard smoking materials properly, and prevent sparks from equipment or dragging trailer chains.
