We want to give a huge thank you to Miss Kelly with Three Little Pitties Rescue for stepping up once again and tagging all three dogs that were dumped in front of our shelter. Because of their help, these dogs now have a second chance at the life they deserve. Not only did they help these three, but they also tagged two additional dogs, Sully and Jack🥰❤️

We are heartbroken to share that three dogs were abandoned after hours in front of our shelter. All of them are suffering from skin issues and will require medical attention and care. All three dogs were safely placed inside our facility and given water that they desperately needed.

While we are grateful these dogs were not simply dumped on the side of the road, situations like this put an enormous strain on our already overwhelmed shelter. We are completely full and officially out of kennel space for dogs. Because of this unexpected abandonment, we unfortunately have to pause helping with additional owner surrenders and strays until we can get dogs moved out through adoption or rescue.

To the individuals and families we previously told we would try to help with surrendering their animals, we are truly sorry. We understand how difficult these situations can be, and we hate having to turn people away. If the person who left these dogs had reached out and given us time, we would have worked with them or given them resources for rehoming animals that they no longer can care for.

Please remember that Angleton Animal Services has very limited kennel space. We are responsible for serving both the City of Angleton and the City of Richwood, and every kennel matters.

A huge THANK YOU to Best Friends Animal Society for stepping up in such a big way for our shelter animals! 🐾💕

Today, they took in 25 of our cats and kittens, helping us create much needed space and giving these babies a chance at brighter futures and loving homes. Their support means more than words can express during a time when our shelter has been extremely overcrowded.
Thank you for being a lifesaving partner and for making a difference for so many cats and kittens! 🐱❤️
