Just like you, trees need to breathe! Don’t suffocate your tree with a mulch volcano. Improper mulching keeps water trapped against the trunk and creates an environment ripe for fungi and bacteria, which can cause your tree to die. Mike’s Random Garden Thoughts

When you’re barely cuticle-high to a bullfrog’s toenail, it’s hard to get a good view of the world. But our diminutive amphibian friends never seem to let that slow them down. Somehow, they always find a way to live large and see life from their own perspective.
Yep, it’s going to be another good day in the garden.
