We would like to congratulate Firefighter Lane Burch on his well-earned promotion to Lieutenant with the Angleton Fire Department this past week.

Through hard work, dedication, and a strong commitment to serving our community, Lane has consistently demonstrated the qualities of a leader both on and off the fireground. His experience, professionalism, and drive to better those around him make him a great fit for this role.

Physical Agility Test (PAT) Day 💪🚒

Today, Angleton Firefighters put in the work and challenged themselves to complete our Physical Agility Test in under 10 minutes, a true test of strength, endurance, and grit.

Here’s what they tackled:
• 75’ climb at a 70° angle
• 50 lb farmer’s carry
• 180 lb dummy drag
• Roof ladder raise overhead
• Charged 100’ of 2 ½” hose drag
• Keiser sledgehammer
• High-rise pack carry upstairs (3 trips)

This is the level of performance expected when seconds matter. Training like this ensures we’re ready to serve our community at the highest level every single day.

Today we say goodbye at least during the day—to Lieutenant Corey Castillo as he begins a new opportunity at BASF.

Corey has been a valued part of the Angleton Fire Department and Angleton Professional Firefightes Association, and while we’ll miss him on shift, we’re proud he’ll continue serving as a volunteer and remain involved with Local 5577.

Wishing you nothing but success in this next chapter brother!
