Tonight, our team had the opportunity to learn about K9 first aid and CPR.

We don't just care for our human patients. If the time comes to assist our K9 partners from local law enforcement or the regional search and recovery team, we want to have the knowledge and skills necessary to answer that call.

A huge thank you to Dr. Luttman, her assistant (we apologize for missing her name), K. Harris, and Rogue for sharing their knowledge and educating our team. We'd also like to recognize our staff members who shared their own skills and expertise during the training.

Together, we are building a stronger team, expanding our capabilities, and creating a stronger community for Steuben County.

Training together is vital when we work side by side on emergency scenes. These collaborative training events strengthen communication, improve coordination, enhance patient outcomes, and increase team safety.
We appreciate the opportunity to train alongside our fire service partners and continue building strong working relationships.
Our goal is simple: provide the best possible care and make sure everyone goes home safe.

Join Us for Save a Life Day!

Join us on Saturday, August 22, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Metz Volunteer Fire Department for a free, hands-on community training event!

Learn simple but critical skills that could help you save the life of a family member, friend, coworker, or even a stranger. Participants will receive hands-on instruction in:
• Pre-Hospital Hemorrhage Control
• Hands-Only CPR
• AED Awareness and Use

This event is completely free and open to the public. Whether you're learning these skills for the first time or just need a refresher, everyone is welcome.

Today marked our final mass casualty training event with the Boy Scouts at Camp Chief Little Turtle. It was an exciting, fast paced afternoon filled with hands on learning, teamwork, and plenty of controlled chaos!

A huge thank you to the Steuben County Emergency Management Agency for organizing this outstanding four week program. It provided an incredible learning experience for both the campers and the adult volunteers.

We're hopeful this experience inspired a few future first responders to answer the call and serve their communities.

Always follow your dreams, challenge yourself to learn, and strive to be better every day.
