🚧 CSX Railroad Crossing Work Notice 🚧

CSX will be completing maintenance work on its railroad crossings that impact Sturgeon Point Road, Eden Evans Center Road, and Cain Road. You may see today or tomorrow a brief closure while they lay material.

Each crossing is expected to be closed for unknown amount of time, while work is being performed. At this time, a start date has not been provided but will be near the end of August.

We will share additional information, including closure dates and detour details, as soon as they become available from CSX.

Spring is nearly here, and so is the annual burn ban. As the snow melts and temperatures rise, New York State is at an increased risk of wildfires in the spring. In effect from March 16 through May 14, the annual burn ban prohibits residents from burning vegetation and brush with few exceptions.

Well, Old Man Winter is still choosing violence to start this Tuesday. If you’re waking up with little to no water; Another 6 water main breaks occurred overnight.
Erie County Water Authority is aware and actively working on repairs.

The Town of Evans Police Department has no further information at this time.

Crews are on it, but if you’re looking for updates, repairs, or just want the official scoop, contact the Erie County Water Authority for the latest info.

*** UPDATE*** Kennedy Ave is closed between Maplewood and Lenox; Route 5 Westbound is down to one lane near the Middle School.
Town of Evans Police Department have confirmed multiple water breaks across the town; Erie County Water Authority has been notified.
