The mission of the Town of Evans Police Department is to provide for the peace and security of all residents of the Town of Evans, to safeguard lives and property; to protect the innocent, the weak and peaceful, against violence or disorder. We will enforce a

ll of the laws for which we are responsible in a fair and impartial manner at all times. We will work in close cooperation with other law enforcement agencies in order to maintain the appropriate level of enforcement. It is the expressed policy of this Department that police officers will use force only when the exercise of persuasion, advice and warning is found to be insufficient to obtain public cooperation to an extent necessary to secure observance of law or to restore order, and to use only the minimum degree of physical force which is necessary upon any particular occasion for achieving a police objective.

Today we remember Town of Evans Police Officer Terry J. Addison. On this date in 2002 Terry was tragically taken from us.

Terry’s legacy will never be forgotten. He is forever woven in the fabric and tradition of the Town of Evans Police Department.

Rest in peace sir. Thank you for your service.

Thank you to everyone who came out and made this year's National Night Out a great success!

We appreciate the incredible support from our community and everyone who stopped by to meet our officers, ask questions, and enjoy an evening together. Events like this help strengthen the relationships that make our community a safer and better place for everyone.

We are grateful to everyone who attended and helped make the evening such a memorable success. We look forward to seeing you again next year!

🚲 Found Children’s Bicycle

The Evans Police Department has taken custody of a children’s bicycle that was found at the First Congregational Church in Angola. The bicycle had been left at the church for several days, and no one returned to claim it.

If you believe this bicycle belongs to you or your child, please contact the Evans Police Department at 716-549-3600. To claim it, you will need to provide a description of the bicycle and other identifying details to verify ownership.

Town of Evans Police Department is seeking the assistance from the residents of Derby. The Detective Bureau is investigating a burglary and are looking for any video footage of a dark sedan in the Derby South area between the hours of midnight 07/30/2026 and 2:30AM 07/30/2026.
