Yesterday evening, Angola Fire spent several hours at ISP youth camp down at Trine University where the campers experienced several tasks that firefighters do for their job. Tasks like supply line pull, piking ceiling, dragging victims, pulling attack lines, aiming water streams, just to name a few things, and for fun they received a ride in the aerial, played hose roll bowling, and got to cool off in the water after a extremely hot day. See ya next year!

A huge thank you to our friends at Angola Fire Department for coming out and setting up an obstacle course for our campers on Monday night! Campers look forward to this every year!

We would like to send our condolences to the Druhot family for the loss of Tony Druhot a former part time firefighter for the City of Angola, Pleasant Township and surrounding area. Tony severed the area from October 2016 to April 2020 then returned back to northwest Ohio and continued to serve until his death. Rest in peace brother Tony, we will take it from here.....

It is with deep gratitude and profound respect that we honor the incredible legacy of our brother, Tony A. Druhot.

Tony has defined what it means to be dedicated, committed, and selfless. His years of service to the Wauseon Fire Department and our community go far beyond the runs answered or the hours on the clock. His true impact is found in the mentorship he provided to new firefighters, the kindness he showed to everyone he met, and the wisdom he shared daily around the station.

Tony, thank you for giving so much of yourself to our department’s collective journey. The lasting impact you leave behind will continue to guide us for years to come.

Welcome to the Team!

The Angola Fire Department is proud to welcome RJ Dilbone to our team.

RJ was born and raised in Fremont, Indiana, and is a graduate of Fremont High School. He has been serving with the Fremont Fire Department since 2024 and brings a strong commitment to public service to our department. In his free time, RJ enjoys spending time with his wife, Maddie, their two dogs, woodworking, and being outdoors.

It is with a sad heart, we have lost one of our former Angola Firefighters this week. William "Bill" Brown joined the Angola Fire Department on May 6, 1974 and volunteered for roughly 19 years to Pleasant township and the surrounding area. Over his career at AFD he served as a firefighter, engineer and lieutenant and enjoyed training the department members. Rest in peace, brother....
