For Immediate Release:

Steuben County Highway will be performing road work as follows for the week of August 30th,2026:

Monday, August 31st through Tuesday, September 1st – County Highway will be performing Sand Seal Operations, the following roads will be closed to through traffic, we will work with homeowners to get in and out of their properties:

CR 100 N from CR 100 E to CR 600 E

Old Rd 1 from US 20 to CR 100 N

CR 700 N from West of Blackman Rd to Fremont Rd

CR 650 N from Walters Rd to Town of Fremont

Walters Rd from SR 120 to CR 660 N

Feather Valley Rd from CR 100 E to Town of Fremont

Wednesday, September 2nd through Thursday, September 3rd - County Highway will be performing Chip Lock Operations, the following roads will be closed to through traffic for roughly two hours:

CR 800 E between CR 700 S and CR 650 S

CR 675 E between CR 300 S and Metz Rd

CR 200 E between US 20 and CR 20 N

Steuben County Highway will be performing road work as follows for the week of August 23rd,2026:

Monday, August 24th - County Highway will be performing Chip Lock Operations, the following roads will be closed to through traffic for roughly two hours:

Johnson Lake Road between CR 100 E and CR 200 E

Shaughniss Road between CR 275 E and SR 1

CR 800 E between CR 700 S and CR 650 S

CR 675 E between CR 300 S and Metz Rd

CR 207 S east of CR 800 S

CR 15 N between Old Rd 1 and CR 900 E

CR 200 E between US 20 and CR 20 N

CR 400 E between CR 200 N and CR 300 N


Tuesday, August 25th through Thursday, August 27th – County Highway will be performing Sand Seal Operations, the following roads will be closed to through traffic, we will work with homeowners to get in and out of their properties:

CR 800 S from Old 27 to the Town of Hamilton

Hanselman Road

100 E from Hanselman to City of Angola

Bill Deller Road from Hanselman Rd to City of Angola

CR 150 S from City of Angola to Bill Deller Rd

Metz Rd

Old Rd 1 from US 20 to CR 100 N

CR 100 N from CR 100 E to CR 600 E

CR 700 N from West of Blackman Rd to Fremont Rd

CR 650 N from Walters Rd to Town of Fremont

Walters Rd from SR 120 to CR 660 N

Feather Valley Rd from CR 100 E to Town of Fremont

County Highway will be performing Surface Paving, the roads will be closed to through traffic, we will work with homeowners to get in and out of their properties:

Lane 160 / 165 Jimmerson Lake

Parkaway Drive, Sandman Drive, East & West Riley Square all in Life of Riley
