City Of Angoon The official page for The City of Angoon, Alaska. Angoon is located about 55 miles southwest of Juneau and 41 miles northeast of Sitka.

It is the only permanent settlement on Admiralty Island. The policy-making body is the city council, which holds a Regular Meeting every third Tuesday of each month and complies with the Open Meetings Act by ensuring all meetings are public and adequately posted ahead of time.

I was asked to let the people who live on front street to boil your water until further notice. This came from the water operator. Samples have been sent out but in the mean time please boil your water.

I do have absentee ballots here at the city office and if you need assistance and would like to vote please call Christina at the City Office. 907-788-3653, You will have up until November 7th to vote absentee, you can also vote online at the Alaska Division of Elections website.
