What a wonderful day of art, nature, and friendship! 🌸🌿🎨

Our seniors had an amazing time visiting the beautiful Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park, where they explored the breathtaking gardens and experienced the stunning Chihuly exhibit. From vibrant glass masterpieces to colorful blooms around every corner, there was so much to see and enjoy.

What an incredible day for our Youth Fishing Derby last Saturday! 🎣☀️

With beautiful weather and a completely sold-out event, our young anglers had a fantastic time casting lines, making memories, and enjoying the outdoors.

By the end of the derby, participants had caught an impressive 96 fish! The largest fish measured 12 inches, while the smallest catch came in at just 2.5 inches—proving that every fish counts when you're having fun!

Thank you to all the families, volunteers, our partners at and participants who helped make this year's derby such a success. We loved seeing so many smiling faces along the shoreline and can't wait to do it again next year!

In honor of National Safety Month, Visiting Angels will be presenting 'Beat the Heat' next Thursday, 6/18! 🥵 This presentation is designed to help seniors stay safe and healthy during hot weather. Learn practical tips on preventing heat-related illnesses, staying hydrated, recognizing warning signs, and keeping your home cool. Join us for this informative session and leave with easy strategies to enjoy the summer safely and comfortably.

If you're out enjoying one of our parks over the next few days, you may notice some new faces! Our partners from Spalding DeDecker will be visiting parks throughout the Township as they begin work on our 2027–2031 Community Parks & Recreation Plan.

As part of the planning process, they’ll be conducting a parks inventory and gathering valuable input from the community. If you see them out and about, feel free to stop by, say hello, and share your thoughts, ideas, or feedback about our parks and recreation system. They’re excited to hear from you and help shape the future of our parks! 🌾

Mark your calendars for a FREE event on July 25th 1:00-3:00pm to spend the afternoon celebrating Parks & Recreation month with your Pittsfield Township P&R crew! 🎉
The afternoon will be fun for all ages and will have many different activities happening at one of our most popular parks, Montibeller Park. There will be games, Kona Ice food truck, music, touch a truck with vehicles from public safety (as available), recreation program demos, as well as a scavenger hunt that will make you explore places you may not have even known were in the park. Then, we'll end the afternoon with a foam party from 2:00-3:00! Register for the event for a chance to win a FREE program* through parks & rec! Stop by the community center on 6/15 to learn how to protect yourself from scams & frauds! In this presentation, we will review the “ID Theft and Fraud “ data summary from the Federal Trade Commission's “2025 Consumer Sentinel Report for the state of Michigan. Information on the latest trends affecting consumers, including fake emails, AI-generated phone calls, and videos. Tips will be provided on how to block unwanted spam text messages on cell phones.

✨ Our June Member Spotlight is shining on Suzanna! ✨
A dedicated member and volunteer for many years, Suzanna has become an invaluable part of our senior center community. Through her leadership in our line dancing program, she teaches multiple classes and inspires others to stay active, have fun, and build connections through movement.
Suzanna is a true advocate for getting up, getting moving, and enjoying life to the beat of your own drum—or dance! We are grateful for her enthusiasm, generosity, and the joy she brings to our center every day.

Whether you’re a fitness enthusiast or a beginner, this class is designed to be inclusive and motivating, providing a fresh and exciting way to reach your fitness goals. Join us for a class that promises to be as fun as it is effective!
