A candidate can promise you anything. I truly wish Yousef's campaign was backed by more than wild claims ("we'll build only affordable housing and housing for the working class and co-ops"). Hmmm... okay, nice idea. How? I support Mayor Taylor because he leads without ego. He leads with results, community, the city organization at the forefront. He's delivering results.

Tensions flared as Ann Arbor mayoral candidate Yousef Rabhi and Mayor Christopher Taylor debated a wide range of issues Wednesday night.

Who knew sewer improvements could be so interesting? Fascinating process and project, grateful to be able to learn more from the project team... and it was pretty nice touch to have a pipe available to sign. We're still working to determine the full costs and make repairs at Vets Park following the tornado ripped through the Ann Arbor in April- but I'm excited to report that Vets Pool is open again! I'm grateful for the hard work of the City's Parks staff for getting the pool open ahead of schedule.

The pool at Veterans Memorial Park in Ann Arbor reopened today and will serve as a welcome oasis from the scorching summer heat. WEMU’s Ana Longoria has the story.

Orange barrels ahead! Next week, the week of May 4, kicks off more construction in Ann Arbor, especially around downtown. Please plan ahead and add extra time for your travels as you're able.

Why so much work all at once? There's no single answer. Sometimes projects are prioritized to maximize resources and shorten the overall timeframe for disruptions. Other times, urgent needs come up, or project timelines shift from previous years.

Thank you for being cautious in construction zones and along detour routes, for not taking frustrations out on our crews and, most of all, for your patience. We pledge to work as effectively, safely and swiftly as possible.
