Over the course of three-years and nine months, VanBynen underwent five surgeries and fought through countless sessions of physical therapy.
This week, Deputy Jessica VanBynen returned to the road!

On Memorial Day, the WCSO participated in both the City of Ypsilanti's and City of Dexter's Memorial Day parades, as well as the Dexter City Honor Guard ceremony.

The day served as an opportunity take a moment to reflect on those who gave everything to protect the values and freedoms we now rely on without a second thought.

Many Sheriff's Office employees have also served our country, or are still serving, some have lost people they loved and served alongside. We extended them warmth and love on the day of remembrance and honor the memory of those who lost their lives.

Today, the WCSO remembers and honors those who gave all. May their service and their sacrifice be forever acknowledged.
