Shift 1 responded with an engine and 4 personal. Due to the swift actions of the 1st few arriving AAFD crews we staged and remained in staging until released by command.

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) has released findings from a project to determine concentrations of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in blood of Michigan firefighters. (link in comments)

During a recent medical emergency, crews noticed the patient’s lawn was in need of some attention. When the crew returned to the station they informed Captain Bourne, who owns his own lawn care business. This afternoon Captain Bourne stepped up and took care of it for them.
