709,841 signatures turned in.

446,198 required.

1,000 sampled. 629 needed.

After a 7-hour Board of Canvassers review, they had 626. Three signatures short!

A 2–2 party-line vote kept the Citizens Only Voting amendment off the November ballot.

Weeks earlier, that same board certified “Money Out of Politics” 3–1.

This is now headed to the MI Supreme Court.

You don’t have to support the amendment to ask whether 700,000 petition signatures should live or die on a tiny sample and a tie vote.
