A message from Annandale Police Chief Pete Standafer:

A friendly reminder that Monday is the start of school for the Annandale School District. This results in concentrated traffic at certain times of the day such as before and after school and in the evenings with school activities. The main concentration of this traffic is around the areas of Hwy 24 and Hemlock Ave.

Our newest drivers and younger citizens are also out on this same road trying to make it safely to and from school.

Please give yourself extra time to accommodate the changes to the traffic. Rushing results in speeding, and aggressive driving to get places on time, which leads to accidents and injuries.

We look forward to another successful school year.

Please do your part by driving cautiously and with regard to those around you.

Today is the Primary Election. City residents vote at City Hall, 30 Cedar Street East. Polls are open 7am to 8pm. For more election information or to verify your precinct location, use the Secretary of State’s poll finder-

City of Annandale Public Works is currently working on a water valve replacement in front of the High School.
As a result of this utility work, some residents may notice temporary changes in their water, such as a cloudy or milky appearance. This is caused by air in the water lines and is not harmful to drink.

If you notice air or cloudiness in your water, simply run the water from a faucet in your home. It may take some time, but the air will work its way out of the system and the water will return to normal.

Thank you for your patience while our Public Works crew completes this important maintenance!

The Primary Election is Tuesday, August 11, 2026. Polls are open from 7am to 8pm. Annandale residents who would like to vote prior to Election Day, can vote at the Wright County Government Center. See the County’s update below on early voting.

A Message from Wright County Elections:
The Wright County Vote Center will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8 for special early voting hours for the upcoming State Primary Election. Wright County voters wishing to cast an early ballot may visit the Wright County Government Center (3650 Braddock Ave. NE, Buffalo). We will also be open Monday, Aug. 10 for early voting from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.
