The latest installment in the digitization of our lantern slide collection:

The black-and-white lantern slides showcased here are a selection of ten from a larger 600-slide set published by the Keystone View Company and commonly known as the “600 Set”. Hidden treasures still abound at our historic townhouse! Just last week, we found this makeshift table in our barn. It was made with wood from the sign Frank Alpaugh used to advertise the sale of the family's Leigh Street peach farm at the turn of the century.

One of the most meaningful things you can do to support kids in foster care is by becoming a Court Appointed Special Advocate. We were grateful to start our day today by sitting in on one of CASA SHaW's advocate training sessions. What a difference these volunteers will be making in many young people's lives!

On any given day, there are nearly 450,000 kids in the U.S. foster care system. Some of those kids are in the system for days and weeks; others spend months or years bouncing from home to home to home.
