Recently we honored the extraordinary legacy of former Deputy Director of the National Security Agency, Barbara A. McNamara. LTG William J. Hartman, U.S. Army, posthumously awarded her the Public Service Medallion.

Barbara's impact on cryptologic history, her service to the National Cryptologic Foundation, and her counsel to numerous NSA leaders during her 40-year career were truly exceptional.

The medal was received by her family on behalf of a grateful agency and workforce. Join us in celebrating her remarkable contributions.
