This election season, candidates from both political parties appear increasingly unhinged, resorting to personal attacks, inflammatory rhetoric, racism, and other forms of prejudice and intolerance. Equally disturbing is the audacity with which some spread blatant falsehoods, seemingly underestimating the intelligence of the electorate. Perhaps even more troubling is how readily some accept these claims without questioning their credibility.
Rather than engaging in substantive debate, acknowledging legitimate concerns, and presenting credible solutions, too many candidates seem more interested in discrediting their opponents than demonstrating their own capacity to lead.
No amount of campaign spending can buy credibility or restore public trust once it has been compromised. Genuine leadership begins with acknowledging problems, accepting responsibility, and offering meaningful solutions.
Voters deserve honesty over deception, substance over political theatrics, and accountability over excuses.
