Today Lieutenant Jester needs your help with a fire that occurred on Sunday, July 30, 2023 at 11:42 a.m. at 5224 Wasena Avenue in Brooklyn Park.

Fire crews arrived on location of a two-story, middle-of-the-row, rowhome with heavy fire showing from the street side second floor windows. There were no injuries in this case but the fire caused approximately $80,000 in damages.

Lt. Jester and other investigators responded to the scene to initiate an investigation to determine the origin, cause, and circumstances of the fire. That investigation is open and active but we are asking if anyone if familiar with the home, its occupants, and/or anything else that may relate to the fire, please contact the Fire and Explosives Investigation Unit. You may call Lt. Jester direct at (410) 222-8465 OR you may call the Arson Tip Line at (410) 222-TIPS (8477) and leave a message. The tip line is not traced and you may leave a message for investigators. Hello! This page was envisioned as a way for the Unit to get information out to the public as it relates to cases and incidents we are investigating. Often we find the public is eager to assist in providing information when we need it to advance or solve cases, but not every incident rises to the level of requiring a full on press release. That's where this page, hopefully, will come into play. With that in mind, our first request for information is on the way. Stay tuned....
